A key from Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com/apikey). It's optional — the AI on your computer works without it, and Gemini only double-checks the goal candidates (one or two short requests per match). Free keys have a small daily allowance and are served last when Google is busy; if Gemini can't finish, you still get the result found on your computer and can check again later. For dependable checks, turn on billing for the key — the cost per match is small.
